5 Easy Steps to becoming a home owner

Step one:

What can you afford in a home?

As you start your home buying search, contacting a local lender you trust to discuss what you can afford and what type of loan works best for you is always a great starting point. The lender will ask you for a few items such as recent bank statements, paycheck stubs and tax returns. With these items the lender will discuss with you your financial situation and provide you with the best plan of action. Once this plan of action is in place a Pre-Approval letter will be generated. This Pre-Approval letter will prove your ability to purchase and what type of loan program you will be using. Buyer power when submitting your offer on a house to make a home.

Step Two:

Finding your house to make a home

Now that you the first step done you are ready to start the house search. Working with a local Realtor

Let your local Realtor know what you are looking for in a home, such as features that are really important to you. Numbers of bedrooms, bathrooms, other amenities etc.

When you can found the home of your dreams your local real estate agent will help you get an offer together to be presented to the seller along with your pre approval letter.

Step Three:

Welcome to you house to make a home.

Your offer was accepted now it is time for the inspections, which will allow you to gain a better understanding of the properties overall condition. If repairs are needed at this point you will negotiate the repairs or accept as it is.

Step Four:

The Appraisal is ordered.

The appraisal is ordered the date for the appraiser has been set. Once the appraisal has been done and returned to the lender and all is good the close date will be set.

Step Five:

Set a date for your final walk through of the property and go to the closing table. Sign the loan documents. Congrats the house is yours. Closed and funded.
